Two people available is not the same as a singles format
FIP Rule 3 describes a pair on each side of the net; its court specification is 20 by 10 meters. The standard rulebook used by these guides therefore describes doubles, not a one-player-per-side competition on a narrower court. ULTRA Magic City in Miami lists a dedicated singles court alongside its doubles facilities.
If you want to practice with one partner
Ask the operator whether two people may use the booked court and whether the price is per person or for the whole court. Two people can agree an informal hitting session without claiming it is regulation singles. For a beginner, a simple option is to ask an instructor for a serve-and-return exercise: one person serves and the other practices waiting for the bounce. Keep the rally cooperative so both players can work on clean contact.
If your problem is finding three other players
A beginner introduction may solve the partner problem more directly than inventing a singles match. Park Padel’s introduction page states that no experience or partner is required and that rackets and balls are provided for that product. Confirm the selected location and session before booking. Book the named introduction rather than a regular court rental if you need equipment and partners.
If a club advertises a singles court
Check the exact facility, its dimensions, booking conditions and the rules that the session uses. Do not assume that a narrower court follows the doubles rules without modification. ULTRA Magic City is one option to investigate if you want a dedicated singles booking.
Choose the session by what you need
If you need other players and basic instruction, look for a named beginner introduction with explicit inclusions. If you already have a partner and want a focused practice, establish permission and the total charge for a two-person booking. If you want organized competition, obtain the actual event rules rather than relying on a casual scoring agreement. In all three cases, the session description matters more than whether the booking screen happens to show a free court.
