Browsing and website delivery
You can read this publication without an account. We do not offer reader accounts, newsletter sign-ups or booking forms. Court filters appear in the page URL and your browser history. Cloudflare and our Hetzner-hosted infrastructure process connection information, including IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and request times, to deliver and secure the website. Our basis is our legitimate interest in a reliable, secure publication.
Embedded venue maps
Venue pages embed an OpenStreetMap map. As the map loads, your browser connects to OpenStreetMap and sends connection information needed to deliver it, including your IP address and browser information. We set the embed to omit the page referrer. Directions links open an external mapping service; your activity there is handled by that service under its own policies.
Limited analytics
We use self-hosted Umami at dashboard.remarcablevc.com to measure page visits and clicks to external sources and booking providers. It sets no analytics cookies and does not use advertising identifiers or session replay. The service receives IP addresses and browser information to derive anonymous visit statistics; cookieless does not mean no personal information is processed. Before sending, we remove query strings, fragments and referrers, allow only published page paths, and record only the destination hostname for external-link clicks. We do not send search text or full booking URLs. We rely on our legitimate interest in improving the publication.
Your analytics choices
The tracker honours Do Not Track when your browser sends a value of 1. Add ?analytics=off to a page address to disable tracking for that page visit. A browser-local umami.disabled value of 1 also disables the tracker for this site. These choices do not prevent requests needed to deliver the website.
Correspondence and retention
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments through our email services. We use them to answer enquiries, investigate corrections and meet legal obligations. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We retain correspondence while necessary for the request, follow-up, disputes or legal obligations. Analytics and technical records are retained for site improvement, security and troubleshooting, subject to review; this site does not currently promise a fixed automatic deletion period. Restricted backup copies may remain until replaced or expired. Contact us to ask about retention or request deletion.
Providers, rights and complaints
Infrastructure and email providers may process data outside the UK. Our analytics dashboard is restricted to the operator. We do not sell personal information. External sources and booking services have their own policies and handle your activity on their sites. Under UK data protection law, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to legitimate-interest processing, and request portability where its legal conditions apply.
