Start with the shot that makes you late

If fast exchanges repeatedly leave your racket behind the ball, begin the demo with the lighter ONE. Penso particularly likes its handling at the net and in defence. If preparation is already reliable but incoming pace moves the racket off line, ONE X is the more relevant comparison because he credits its additional mass with stronger stability. The right starting point follows the problem you are trying to solve.

Shared tolerance does not mean identical response

Penso praises the forgiving contact area of both 2025 models. That does not erase their difference under load: he finds ONE less powerful and less stable than ONE X. He also notes that ONE lacks the heavier model’s Damp Plus feature. Keep ease of movement separate from vibration isolation, and do not turn his comfort impressions into injury-prevention claims.

The earlier Extreme is a different shape

The review uses the earlier diamond-shaped Extreme ONE as context, while these Speed models use a teardrop form. Penso finds improved handling but still notices a fairly present head balance, particularly with ONE X. Do not assume one-hole construction makes every model with ONE in its name interchangeable. The conventional Speed Pro, Motion and Team are also outside this paired test.

Compare control at two speeds

Use a slower cooperative rally first, then a faster net exchange. Check whether the lighter model makes preparation easier without losing the stability you need, and whether ONE X stays manageable as the feed speeds up. Finish with a controlled overhead rather than immediately chasing a maximum smash. The more useful racket is the one whose trade-off remains acceptable across the whole sequence.

One named reviewer, two exact models

This comparison summarises Penso’s December 2024 review of the 2025 range in Padel Magazine. He thanks HEAD for providing the new products. That access context belongs with the conclusions; two model profiles do not turn the article into independent corroboration. The original review remains the full account, and the profiles retain the exact variant details for matching a demo or listing.
